In 2003, he married Ryan Jurica in Vermont. David announced that they have opted surrogacy and their surrogate was expecting a twin. Even before the child was born, Ryan and David filed for a divorce. David said that the marriage was failing for 6 years and he thought that having a child would change the course. Ryan filed the separation stating that David was addicted to physical pleasures. The report stated that David hired  escorts and prostitutes for his addiction.

Ryan requested the custody of the unborn children and also a spousal support from David. David stated that the main reason of separation was the difference in opinion and he said that he wants to be a good father as of now and he was sure that he would find the  love of his life, soon.  He denied the carnal addiction claims and refused to pay spousal support to Ryan. He also said that he will not take care of Ryan’s legal fees. The court ordered the couple to separate the twins. They were not accused of having romantic affair with any secret lover.

David is now planning the wedding of his daughter, Cielo and not brooding over his former boyfriend. David’s former husband stated that they both wanted the twins to be in each other’s life. However, after the twins were born, they did not see each other. After the children were born, Ryan stated that it was David’s fault that the twins were separated. Ryan said that he wanted to keep both the children to himself, but David wanted to split the children. It doesn’t look like David’s fault more than Ryan’s greed.

David and Ryan are not seen with any new dates, as of now. They seem to be more occupied with their children. There were rumors that the whole fight was just a drama. Ryan announced to the media that he had forgotten David and which David would also forget him, in time. He also said that he was devastated by David’s unilateral decisions for a decade.

He also said that he wanted his son to have his sister and asked David to get down from his anger and address the matter in private and like adults. David was angry that Ryan lied about addiction. David confirmed that he did not hire prostitutes and nor was he addicted. David argued that there are no evidence to prove the same and thus, those are just baseless angered lies. Initially, David was fighting for shared custody or each getting their biological child. However, because of Ryan’s conduct, he fought for both the kids with just visitations from Ryan and also refused to pay any financial support to him. Ryan stated that David was the bread earner of the family and was earning more than one million dollar per year.
