Denis Villeneuve is a French Canadian film director and screenwriter, widely recognized for his work on both national and international cinematic projects. He was born on October 3, 1967, in Trois-Rivières, Quebec, Canada. Villeneuve attended Séminaire Saint-Joseph de Trois-Rivières before studying film at the Université du Québec à Montréal.
