Upbringing

DeShawn Snow was born on March 17, 1973, in Detroit, MI. She completed her primary schooling at Wayne Memorial High School in 1991. Immediately after her high school graduation, Snow decided to remain in her home state. She continued her studies at Michigan State University. At MSU, she obtained a Bachelor's Degree in the field of Marketing in 1995.

Reality TV Star

DeShawn was a fan favorite on the reality series, The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Everyone remembers her for her airhead charm and genuine smile.

With a significant net worth, she was probably the only housewife among those featuring in the show, that had a substantial amount of money. She appeared in the show's first season with her husband Eric Snow, a former basketball player for the NBA. However, some say she was not invited for the second season because she was too ordinary and did not create enough drama, fake or real. The series needed drama to increase the ratings.

Her fan base was sad to see DeShawn leave after the first season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. She often provided a fair balance to the fireworks that went down consistently on the show. The drama aspects were the main aspects of the reality series. DeShawn provided an excellent balance to the more chaotic characters.

Relationship with a Baller

DeShawn married her college sweetheart, Eric, a former professional basketball player. He played with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Philadelphia 76ers. The couple was blessed with three sons, Eric Javon Snow, Jarren Christopher Snow, and Darius Michael Snow. They had a happy marriage, and Eric even surprised DeShawn with an elaborate wedding-vow-renewal ceremony in their hometown of Atlanta to celebrate the tenth anniversary of their marriage. Eric spent almost a year planning the ceremony.

Unfortunately, things slowly started turning sour for the couple, and they separated after being married to each other for 12 years. Soon after the separation, Eric filed for divorce at Fulton County Superior Court in Georgia. It was a very bitter and public divorce. The news of their split-up came as a shock to the fans of the hit reality show. The couple divorced after The Real Housewives of Atlanta aired its first season. The divorce papers that were put out stated that there was no hope of reconciliation between the two. Eric also requested that the couple get joint custody of their three sons.
