Bolton earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa, where she majored in English and French literature. She later obtained a master’s degree from New York University, further strengthening her academic background in literature and communication.

Professional Journey in Finance and Media

Before breaking into journalism, Deirdre Bolton began her career in the financial sector. She worked in institutional equity sales at CDC North America and Société Générale, where she was responsible for selling European equities to U.S.-based portfolio managers.
