Diego Simeone

Diego Simeone’s full name is Diego Pablo Simeone Gonzalez. He was born in the year 1970. He is nicknamed El Cholo and he is a footballer manager and a former player of Argentine origins. He was playing like a midfielder. Now he manages Spanish club called Atletico Madrid and plays in La Liga. For his club career, he started to play in the year 1987 and he played for Racing, Internazionale Lazio, Atletico Madrid, Sevilla, Pisa and Velez Salsfield.

He started the career together with Velez Sarsfield and then moved to play for Italian Series A club Pisa in 1990. This club was relegated for the first season and after failing to get the promotion the year that followed, he got sold to Sevilla in Spanish Premera Division. He played two seasons for Seville and after this, he signed with the Atletico Madrid. He was a part of the team which won a double for Liga Title and for Copa Del Rey in 1995-1996. His tactics as Atletico couch has helped to defeat Bayern Munich by his club.

In the year 1992, Simeone represented the ArgentinaU23 for CONMEBOL Pre-Olympic tournament that took place in Paraguay. However, Argentina failed to qualify for 1992 Olympics. While playing for Argentine Senior Team, he was able to amass 106 Caps for his first coming in the year 1998.

From his biography, his son called Giovanni is also a professional player and he plays under Italian Club Genoa in his series A. The third son, Giuliano had also been seen to be a ball-boy by Atletico Madrid. His parents are of Spanish and Italian Descent. Diego Simeone is married to Carolina Baldini.
