Jacques Dominique Wilkins was born on 12th January 1960. He is a retired basketball player who played professionally with Atlanta Hawks of NBA. He was born in Paris. This led Atlanta Hawks in the highest rebounds category for the first time. He got injured during the season of 1991-92. He underwent surgery on 30th January 1992. He made an NBA record by making 23 free throws while playing opposite to Chicago Bulls. He returned the following year and was honoredas the “Comeback player of the year” by various sports publication. He fractured his ring finger on 15th December which led to him sitting out for the next 11 games of the season. He signed a contract for 2 years’ worth $7 million for European league. He came back to NBA during the season of 1996-97. He had an average of 18.2 points per game. He went for Italian League during the season 1997-98 season. He has participated in 5 slam dunk contests and he has won two out of them. He retired from basketball in the year 1999.
