Ebro Darden is an American media executive and radio personality who is currently a co-host on the Hot 97 morning show, Ebro in the morning. Ebro Darden was born Ibrahim Darden on March 17, 1975 in Oakland, California; his father was Black and his mother was Jewish. Darden attended a Pentecostal church and a Hebrew school. Darden began his career in radio while he was still a teenager, working for KSFM in Sacramento as a part-time researcher and sales runner. He eventually became a co-host for KSFM’s night and morning show before moving on to KBMB, where he became Operations Manager.
In addition to his current on air role at Hot 97, Darden is one of three anchor DJ’s on Apple Music’s internet radio service, Beats. Darden became Music Director for WQHT in 2003, Program Director in 2007, and worked as Vice President of Programming for the contemporary urban station until 2014. Darden has become infamous for the feuds he maintains with celebrities including Charlamagne Tha God, 6ix9ine, and 50 Cent. Ebro Darden married his former girlfriend, Stephanie Marie and the couple has a daughter named Isa who was born in 2014 in the bathroom of the radio personality’s home.
