Sports anchor Dana Jacobson was born on September 5, 1971. She has spent her childhood in a small city Bloomfield Hills in the USA state of Michigan with a population around four thousand. She attended there Andover High School, but after she moved to West Des Moines, Iowa she joined Valley High School and successfully graduated from it in 1989. Her education Jacobson continued in University of Michigan where she studied English and communications. In 1993, Dana graduated from university with a degree of Bachelor in Art.
In order to find a job she moved again, this time to Traverse City, Michigan. There she got her first job at WPBN/WTOM-TV. She has worked there as news anchor, sports anchor, editor and producer for two years. There she began to grow as a professional sports anchor. She made exclusive reports from many sports events on NFL and NBA. Moreover, she interviewed such big sport stars like Mike Bibby, Jason Williams and Chris Webber.
In December 2002 Dana Jacobson got an invitation to join the ESPN, where she became news anchor, and soon after that, a regular anchor of SportsCenter. Her authority was growing very fast, so she expanded her occupation became a co-host of TV sports morning talk show Cold Pizza on ESPN (then it was transformed into ESPN First Take show). Dana has worked on this position quite long time, and on December 30, 2011, she decided to leave the First Take and return to the SportsCenter.
On April 30, 2012 expired her contract with ESPN and she decided to leave this channel and join the CBS. Since 2013 Dana Jacobson has become a member of CBS network, working as sports anchor, host of CBS Sports Radio's morning show, co-host of TBD in the AM show along with Tiki Barber. On December 2014, Dana Jacobson announced in her twitter that she is going to leave TBD in the AM show and concentrate on CBS Sports Network.
Very controversial story happened with Dana in January 2008, when she along with her co-workers, Mike Greenberg and Mike Golic got drunk and Jacobson cursed the University of Notre Dame and Jesus. Since she was Jewish, it was even more offensive and she had to apologize on-air for her behavior. Because of this incident, ESPN suspended her for one week, but after her apologizes, the incident was over and she came back to her regular duties.
