Dweezil Zappa born to <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_Zappa">Frank</a> and <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gail_Zappa">Gail Zappa</a>, September 5, 1969, in Hollywood Los Angeles, California, is an American guitarist and actor. The son of the late pioneering music composer and performer, <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_Zappa">Frank Zappa</a>. Even after his death in 1993, <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_Zappa">Frank</a> still holds a large 'cult' following for his unique style and approach to music.

Introduced to music at an early age he fondly remembers watching his Father perform from the side stage while still in diapers being as no surprise as to why such a strong bond with music had been curetted. , Dweezil continues to embrace his Father’s musical legacy utilizing guitars, bass, piano, banjo and unique choice of vocals.After receiving his first guitar at the age of six, Dweezil Latched onto the playing of the guitar and the production of music. Learning directly from <a href="/biography/eddie-van-halen">Eddie Van Halen</a> and <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Vai">Steve Vai</a>, Dweezil released his first album with the aid of <a href="/biography/eddie-van-halen">Eddie</a> at the age of twelve.

Dweezil had a strong relationship with his family once his Father was off the stage, that time was spent with his family. A family of six, Dweezil has an older sister by the name of Moon, actress and novelist, a younger <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diva_Zappa">sister</a> <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diva_Zappa">Diva</a>, clothing designer, and a younger <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ahmet_Zappa">brother</a> <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ahmet_Zappa">Ahmet</a>, who runs a TV and film production company and is responsible for creating Disney’s Star Darlings franchise. After their Father’s death, the children are now fighting over his large inheritance due to their Mother dying from lung cancer and leaving the youngest son <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ahmet_Zappa">Ahmet</a> in charge of the family business.

Their <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gail_Zappa">Mother</a> <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gail_Zappa">Gail</a>’s wishes were divided as such, both <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ahmet_Zappa">Ahmet</a> and <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diva_Zappa">Diva</a> would receive 30% of the estate and Dweezil and Moon would receive 20%. The children all feel shafted especially Moon who had been taking care of her daily. From taking her to appointments to serving her food, Moon felt her Mother’s decision to be unjust.

There is a reason behind this decision, Moon "Moon and Dweezil really never had any interest in the business," says Owen Sloane, the lawyer for the Zappa Family Trust, run by <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ahmet_Zappa">Ahmet</a> and <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diva_Zappa">Diva</a>, "whereas <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ahmet_Zappa">Ahmet</a> is a <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ahmet_Zappa">businessperson</a> and was involved in helping <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gail_Zappa">Gail</a> make deals." But because of this ideology, Dweezil has to receive permission from the estate in order to play his <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Father">Father</a>’s music on stage.

After receiving a letter for a cease-and-desist from the trust to stop using the name <a href="/biography/dweezil-zappa">Zappa plays Zappa</a>, <a href="/biography/dweezil-zappa">Dweezle</a> renamed the tour 50 Years of <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_Zappa">Frank</a>: Dweezil Zappa Plays Whatever the F@%k He Wants – The Cease and Desist Tour. "I want to honor our commitments to promoters, fans, the people I employ," he says, "so the only way to move forward was to change the name." and that he did.

Now onto <a href="/biography/dweezil-zappa">Dweezle</a>’s personal life. In 1998 he started dating his first long-term <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lisa_Loeb">girlfriend</a>, <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lisa_Loeb">Lisa Loeb</a>, a fellow <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lisa_Loeb">musician</a>. Quickly the two began to play music and go out on tours together. The relationship ended in 2004. Shortly after in 2005, Zappa married fashion stylist, Lauren Knudsen. They have two daughters in this relationship. In 2010, Lauren filed for a divorce from her husband. Even before the separation was finalized, Zappa married Megan Marsicano, in 2012.

Lauren stated irreconcilable differences as the reason for the separation. Both agree that they would share legal custody of the children. He also had a relationship with Kate Wagner and the <a href="/biography/sharon-stone">actress</a>, <a href="/biography/sharon-stone">Sharan Stone</a> before dating <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lisa_Loeb">Lisa</a>. Lauren requested him to pay a huge sum for the spousal support due to his income.

After he broke up with <a href="/biography/sharon-stone">Sharon Stone</a>, he announced to the media that they had sex after having two years of phone sex, having also stated that Stone was looking for a more lasting romantic relationship and he was not ready to commit. He made a lot of jokes and inappropriate comments. Stone was furious that Zappa would talk about their intimate relationship to the media instead of something kept just between the two of them. When <a href="/biography/sharon-stone">Sharon</a> wanted to consider him as a life partner than as a boyfriend, he ended the relationship. Zappa started his life perfectly with Megan when Lauren asked for a huge sum as the spousal support and the divorce lawyer sued him for not paying his bills. When asked about his wife, Zappa said that he cannot tell a lot about Megan as they are in their honeymoon phase.

When it comes to his relationships, Zappa has an ironic way of dealing with it. When he dates someone for a long time, he would break the affair when the girl asks him to marry her. On the other hand, the girls that he marries are usually the ones with whom he overall had spent less time with.

None of the girls Zappa dated or married, have ever claimed him to be a bad guy. The only concern among the girls he dated is that he never took the commitment to marriage, that he never took their relationship seriously to the next level. He never cheated on his girls and there were no indications in the divorce files that he had mistreated or cheated on her.

Megan was inert to the media. Thus, the media could not know whether her life as it is now is going smoothly or not. Zappa never talked about his relationship with his wives or lovers. With the exception of Stone, he gave an erotic explanation about their sexual relationship, which angered Stone. Apart from that, he kept his personal life to himself.
