Erik Kuselias is an American radio and television host known for his work in sports media. He co-hosted "Pro Football Talk" on NBC Sports Network alongside Mike Florio and served as a radio host on NBC Sports Radio. Kuselias also hosted "Morning Drive" on the Golf Channel, as well as "The SportsBash" on ESPN Radio and made appearances on ESPN2.
Raised in Connecticut, Kuselias was an accomplished high school baseball player and earned All-State honors. He attended high school with future Major League Baseball stars Mo Vaughn, Brad Ausmus, and Jeff Bagwell. Kuselias went on to earn his undergraduate degree from Brown University, followed by a law degree from the University of Michigan Law School. He later pursued doctoral studies at Columbia University. He is also a member of Mensa International, a society for individuals with high IQs.
In addition to his media career, Kuselias has a background in law and is associated with the firm Goldblatt, Kuselias & Rashba, P.C., where he has been involved in arbitration cases. His legal expertise complements his analytical approach to sports broadcasting.
Erik Kuselias was married to sportscaster Holly Sonders. Sonders, known for hosting "Morning Drive" on Golf Channel, later joined Fox Sports to cover golf and serve as a sideline reporter for NFL games. The couple eventually divorced. Details surrounding their professional dealings with Fox Sports were reported by media outlets, but exact contract disputes remain unverified.
Kuselias began his career in broadcasting with "The Sports Brothers," a radio program he co-hosted with his brother Chris Kuselias. Although Chris left the show in 2005 to pursue other opportunities, he continued to contribute in various capacities. Erik Kuselias continued to gain attention for his energetic style and sports knowledge.
He went on to host "NASCAR Now," which debuted on ESPN in 2007. Nicole Manske replaced him as host in 2008. Kuselias returned to ESPN Radio in 2009, where he occasionally filled in on "Mike and Mike in the Morning" for either Mike Golic or Mike Greenberg. During NFL season, he also appeared on "Fantasy Freakin Football," a show focused on fantasy sports.
Kuselias was also a host of "Fantasy Football Now," a web-based show which won a Sports Emmy Award. In 2011, he began co-hosting "Morning Drive" on Golf Channel once again. Around this time, he made additional appearances on CNBC, including coverage of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. His transition to NBC Sports, Golf Channel’s parent company, marked a continuation of his presence in national sports media.
Kuselias eventually left NBC Sports. Reports suggested that he attempted to pursue a joint opportunity with Holly Sonders at Fox Sports. While Fox Sports expressed interest in Sonders for its golf coverage, Kuselias was reportedly not part of their hiring plans. Attempts to renegotiate a deal for both parties at NBC were unsuccessful and led to the premature conclusion of their on-air responsibilities, although contractual terms were honored through payouts.
Prior to his marriage to Holly Sonders, Kuselias was reportedly divorced from a previous spouse. While some sources have referenced personal issues surrounding that divorce, including claims of infidelity and alimony arrangements, such personal details remain largely unverified and are not central to his professional identity. His current salary and net worth have not been publicly disclosed.
