Franck Henry Pierre Ribéry was born on April 7, 1983, in Boulogne-sur-Mer, Pas-de-Calais, France. His father worked in the construction industry, and Ribéry briefly joined him on construction sites during his teenage years. At the age of two, Ribéry was involved in a serious car accident that resulted in severe facial injuries, requiring around 100 stitches.
