Early Career and Club Journey

Ribéry began his football journey in 1989 with the youth team of his hometown club Conti Boulogne. After seven years, he joined Lille's youth academy but left after three years due to adjustment difficulties. In 1999, he signed with US Boulogne, launching his senior career. He then spent two years playing for amateur sides Alès and Brest before progressing to Ligue 1 with FC Metz in 2004.

In January 2005, Ribéry transferred to Turkish club Galatasaray, where he helped win the Turkish Cup. However, his stint in Turkey was short-lived, and he left the club under controversial circumstances to return to France and join Olympique de Marseille. During his two seasons with Marseille, he was instrumental in leading the team to two consecutive Coupe de France finals.

Success at Bayern Munich

In 2007, Ribéry moved to Bayern Munich for a then club-record transfer fee of €25 million. His time at Bayern marked the most successful chapter of his career. With the club, he won nine Bundesliga titles, six DFB-Pokal trophies, one UEFA Champions League title, and one FIFA Club World Cup. His performance in the 2012–13 season, during which Bayern achieved a historic treble, earned him a spot on the final shortlist for the 2013 FIFA Ballon d'Or alongside Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
