Geoffrey Zakarian

Geoffrey Zakarian was born on the twenty-fifth of July in the year 1959 in a town called Babak in Azerbaijan. He spent his childhood days in Worcester in Massachusetts. His career in the food industry began in the year 1982, when he started working under Daniel Boulud at a restaurant called ’Le Cirque’ as the ’Pastry Sous’. He eventually worked his way upto ’Chef de Cuisine’ within five years. Later on, he was awarded the position of the executive chef at a restaurant called ”44” which was one of the trendiest and ’chic’ restaurants, located in Manhattan at the time.

According to his biography, he has worked to restore Old Navy’s coffee bar and coffee cart sections. Geoffrey Zakarian has also worked at the Delano Hotel, which is located in South Beach in Miami. In the year 1998, Zakarian was given the position of executive chef at a restaurant in Manhattan called ’Patroon’. ’Patroon’ was a restaurant which was awarded three stars by ’The New York Times’ food critic.

Geoffrey Zakarian has opened two restaurants on his own which are both located in Manhattan, named ’Town’ and ’Country’. His restaurant ’Country’ has earned one Michelin star. His current net worth is estimated at six million US dollars. According to his bio, he has authored a book titled ’Geoffrey Zakarian's Town / Country’, which contains one hundred and fifty recipes for various occasions. In 2014, his cookery show titled ’The Kitchen’, was aired on ’The Food Network’.

In 2014, he released his second book titled ’My Perfect Pantry: 150 Easy Recipes from 50 Essential Ingredients’. Recently, in 2016, he opened 2 concepts named ’Georgie’ and ’The Garden Bar’ in Montage located in Beverly Hills. He has also appeared in various shows like ’The Chew’, ’The Dish’, ’The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’, and ’The Rachel Ray Show’. Geoffrey Zakarian has also hosted a radio show called ’Food Talk’ which aired during the ’South Beach Wine and Food Festival’ in the year 2013.

Geoffrey Zakarian believes in that vigilence is the key to any good meal. He also believes that every facet of a meal must be carefully prepped in order to achieve that perfect meal. He believes that all successful restaurants balance simple flavours while mastering the art of hospitality.

Zakarian was initially married to Heather Karaman, with whom he had a son and two daughters. Their marriage lasted for ten years, after which they were divorced. His current wife is a marketing executive named Margaret Anne Williams. They were married in the year 2005. He is currently fifty-six years old and still active in the culinary world.
