Jimmy's father, a Vietnam War veteran, later worked for IBM as a machine repairman. Following Jimmy’s birth, the family moved to Saugerties, a town in upstate New York. As a child, Jimmy became an avid fan of Saturday Night Live and often expressed his dream of taking over David Letterman's late-night hosting role. He has one sibling, an older sister also named Gloria.

From a young age, Fallon displayed a knack for comedy and impressions, often entertaining his parents with impersonations of celebrities like James Cagney and comedian Dana Carvey. He also developed a love for music, learning to play various instruments beginning at age 13.

Fueled by his passion for performing, Fallon began entering talent contests and appearing on community television programs. Although he couldn’t have known it at the time, these early efforts would pave the way to a successful career that would eventually earn him a net worth estimated at $100 million.

Education

Fallon attended elementary school in Brooklyn before moving to Saugerties, where he graduated from Saugerties High School in 1992. Known by classmates and teachers as the “class clown,” he was active in school plays and served twice as the class social director. He won a Young Comedians competition during his high school years, thanks to his comedic impression of Pee-wee Herman.

After high school, Fallon enrolled at The College of Saint Rose in Albany, New York. Although he initially majored in computer science, he later switched to communications. He left the college just one semester before graduating to pursue a comedy career in Los Angeles but returned later to complete his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications.
