Big Bash League and Indian Premier League

In 2012, George joined the Melbourne Stars in the Big Bash League, marking a new phase in his T20 career. Internationally, he also played in the Indian Premier League (IPL), representing teams such as Chennai Super Kings, Kings XI Punjab, and Rising Pune Supergiant across various seasons. Unfortunately, during his stint with Rising Pune Supergiant, he sustained an injury that sidelined him for the remainder of the season. In a subsequent season, he was not picked by any IPL franchise.

International Cricket and Captaincy

George Bailey made his international debut in 2012 in a One Day International (ODI) against New Zealand. He was later entrusted with captaincy responsibilities, a move that sparked some controversy given his relatively short international experience at the time.
