Georgie Henley, born Georgina Helen Henley in 1995, is an English actress best known for her portrayal of Lucy Pevensie in The Chronicles of Narnia film series. She was born in Ilkley, West Yorkshire, to parents Mike and Helen Henley. Georgie has two older sisters, Laura and Rachael Henley. Notably, Rachael portrayed the older version of Lucy Pevensie in the first Narnia film.
Henley attended Moorfield School for Girls before continuing her education at Bradford Grammar School. From a young age, she demonstrated a passion for performance, which led to early involvement in school and community theater.
Henley made her professional acting debut in 2005 in the role of Lucy Pevensie in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Based on the classic novel by C.S. Lewis, the film was both a critical and commercial success, grossing over $745 million worldwide. Her performance earned her the Phoenix Film Critics Society Award for Best Performance by a Youth – Female in a Lead or Supporting Role.
