Background

She grew up with her family in the city of Cresenta in California. She went to study psychiatry at Baylor University located in Waco, Texas. After finishing the college, she went on to work in real estate for some time. She eventually quit her real estate job because she didn’t find it to be too fruitful. She has a degree in psychology and she also minored in Family Studies and Child Development.

Gretchen Rossi became a person of interest when she joined the entertainment industry and became a cast member for The Real Housewives of the Orange County in the show’s fifth and sixth seasons. Her popularity increased with multiple public appearances. One appearance that got her a lot of attention was when she wore daisy duke short to Dodger Stadium for Dodger Day.

She has also appeared in some movies and also attended the Fox Reality Awards in 2011. She appeared on late night shows like Chelsea Lately where she talked to the host, Chelsea Handler to promote her show and talk about her life.

Naluda Magazine asked Gretchen how she got the part in The Real Housewives of the Orange County and how it has changed her life, “Actually Slade recommended me when him and Jo (his former girlfriend) left the show because they were looking for a couple to replace them. Production called me for an interview. I was very hesitant at first but eventually my late fiancé Jeff was the one that convinced me to do the show. Well in many ways, but mainly my anonymity being gone. The show has been seen by 400 million people worldwide and is in 144 different countries. So to say you can’t go anywhere without someone knowing who you are is an understatement. However the fans are the best and I feel so lucky to have such a great group of loyal fans. I am friends with Kelly, Lydia, Vicki and have meet the new gal Peggy and she seems very sweet. I also enjoy a very close relationship with many of other housewives from Beverly Hills, New York, Atlanta, Jersey and Miami.”

She is known on The Real Housewives of the Orange County because of the constant arguments she is always involved into with another cast member named Tamra Barney who is the creator of Gretchen Christine Cosmetics.

Gretchen Rossi was in a relationship with Jeff Bietzel who was a loving boyfriend but he died before they could get married. They were engaged when Jeff died from Leukemia. She was able to take care of him for the entire time he was sick. After his death, she decided to move on. She went to live with her new boyfriend named Slade Smiley in Costa Mesa, California.
