Haifa Wehbe is an actress who became famous after winning the runner up for the title, Miss Lebanon. She is also an Arabic pop singer. When she was 18, she got married to her cousin, Nasr Fayyad. He worked in Nigeria and thus, Haifa traveled with her husband. When she was pregnant, she came back to Lebanon and got separated from Nasr. Nasr and his mother did not allow Haifa to have any contact with her daughter. Even after her daughter grew up and got married, she refused to have contact with Haifa. According to their culture, when the wife leaves a man, the man would get the complete custody of the children, without any trial. Knowing that her daughter would never have any relationship with her, she stopped mentioning that she had one.
In 2005, she got engaged to Tariq Al-Jaffali. However, after a few weeks, she announced that she and her boyfriend have split. She mentioned that the reason was family issues and personal reasons. In 2009, she married Ahmad Abu Husheima. In 2012, she announced that she and Abu have ended the marriage. The reason for the divorce was initially mentioned as mutual agreement. However, later, it was found that the separation was due to financial and political affairs. It was said that he had to spend a lot of money because he was married to Haifa. This does not mean that Haifa is spending money. Abu’s parents did not approve his wedding and he needed to spend a lot of money to maintain his status in Egypt as he was planning to get involved in politics. To make into the parliament, he, being married to a singer, was a big disadvantage and thus, he wanted to end the relationship. The Egyptian ministry has banned Haifa from performing in any state run networks. The reason for this move was not explained.
As per the separation, she was entitled to 30 million dollars and she and Abu not to talk about the separation to the media. Abu also sued a newspaper that published a rumor about the separation. Abu announced that the separation was smooth and there was no infidelity or other marital problems that caused the separation and said that he would sue anyone who spread rumors about the separation. Haifa said that she did not get separated from him and stated that Abu and she would be together and the bond is strong.
After the separation, Haifa start dating again. It was said that Haifa has a trend of getting married to wealthy people and get a huge amount of money as alimony. She is tagged as the richest Arab female artist. She then got engaged to Jafali who gave her 4 million dollars as a dowry to marry him and also presented her with a lot of diamonds and gold ornaments. However, he died before the wedding. Later, she married Ahmad, who gave her 20 million dollars as dowry and promised to give her double the amount, if she gets separated from him.
