Jason Bateman

Jason Bateman is an American actor, director and producer. He was born in Rye, New York on January 14 1969. His family moved to Salt Lake City when he was 4 years old. Jason has an elder sister and three half-brothers. His mother’s name is Victoria Elizabeth and she is a former Pan Am flight attendant and father, Kent Bateman is a director, actor and writer in film industry. He married Amanda Anka in July 2001. His wife is a daughter of singer Paul Anka. They have two daughters named Francesca Nora and Maple Sylvie.

He started his career with a cereal commercial for Golden Grahams in 1980. Then he appeared as James Cooper in “Little House on the Prairie”. He also acted as a supporting character in television show Silver Spoons from 1982 to 1984. He also did small television roles including the third season episode of Knight Rider. He appeared in lead roles in “It’s your Moves” as Matthew Burton from September, 1984 to February, 1985. He became the youngest-ever director by directing three episodes of The Hogan Family at the age of eighteen. He continued to work on different television series – Simon, Chicago Sons, George & Leo and some of my best friends. He co-starred with his elder sister in the television movie “Can you feel me dancing?” which was co-produced by their father. In 1999, he directed an episode of “Two of a kind”. Jason was casted in comedy series of “Arrested development” as Michael Bluth. The series never got high ratings and ended on February 10, 2005. He has won several awards for the series. In 2005, he was also nominated for Emmy Awards in the category for Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series. The Arrested Development series was revived in 2013. He was again nominated for Outstanding Actor in Comedy Series for the new fourth season of Arrested Development. He created a production company “DumbDumb Productions” in 2010 along with his Arrested Development co-star Will Arnett.

Jason Bateman made his feature film debut in Teen Wolf Too. He appeared as ESPN Commentator in Dodgeball: A true underdog series. He played the role of Former Lawyer in “Smokin Aces” in 2007. He also worked in movies like Juno for which he was highly appreciated. Later he co-starred with Will Smith and Charlize Theron in the superhero film “Hancock”. After that, he starred in the movies “Extract” and “Couples Retreat”. Then he starred in a romantic comedy with Jennifer Aniston in 2010 named as “The Switch”. After that, he starred in Paul, Horrible Bosses, and The Change-Up in 2011. Then he switched from comedy to thriller which was a big turn for him. His first thriller film “Disconnect” came in 2012.  He also did another thriller in 2015 named as “The Gift”. He made his directorial debut film in 2013 and also starred in the same. He directed his new movie“The Family Fang” which received 4 and half stars on IMDB.
