Jennie Kim was born on January 16, 1996 in Cheongdam-dong, Seoul, South Korea. Jennie spent most of her young developing years in Auckland, New Zealand. She then returned to South Korea to attend her high school.

She was destined for the stage of fame as she took singing and dancing lessons for almost six years from the age of 14 until she eventually joined her band, Blackpink. The young musician has global mass appeal because she is fluent in English and Korean and also speaks Japanese very well.

Jennie is one of the most popular artists under the YG Kpop record label. She is often referred to as the “YG Princess” because of her popularity.
