The documents included claims by Jeri stating that Jack had pressured her to attend public sex clubs and participate in acts she was not comfortable with. These revelations contributed significantly to Jack Ryan's withdrawal from the 2004 Illinois U.S. Senate race, which ultimately eased the path for his opponent, Barack Obama, to win the seat.
