Johnny Simmons is an American actor born on November 28, 1986, in Montgomery, Alabama. Though born in Alabama, he was raised in Dallas, Texas. Simmons attended Nathan Adams Elementary School and T.C. Marsh Middle School before graduating from W.T. White High School in 2005.

Film Career Breakthrough

Simmons made his film debut just two years after high school, landing a role in the 2007 comedy “Evan Almighty.” He portrayed Dylan Baxter, the son of Evan Baxter, played by Steve Carell. The film marked his transition into mainstream cinema and set the stage for future opportunities.

Notable Roles in Film and Television

In 2009, Simmons appeared in the family film “Hotel for Dogs,” where he starred alongside Emma Roberts. That same year, he took on a different tone, starring in the dark horror-comedy “Jennifer’s Body” as the boyfriend of Anita “Needy” Lesnicki, played by Amanda Seyfried.

His versatility as an actor was further demonstrated in 2010 when he played the character Young Neil in Edgar Wright’s cult favorite “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.” The following year, Simmons joined the cast of the 2012 action-comedy “21 Jump Street,” sharing the screen with Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum in a supporting role.
