Jonny Bairstow was born on 26 September 1989 in Yorkshire, England. He has been playing cricket since he was just 7 years old. His father was the one who introduced him to cricket. His father played Cricket professionally and he taught his son cricket as well.His parents are of English origin. He has two siblings one brother and on sister. He was so good at playing cricket that he was chosen as the best youth player for the year in 2007 by Wisdom. He played cricket for his school team and was given scholarship for his performance.
His 2008 season was a great one as he made more than 300 runs at an average of more than 61 runs per match which was the best among his compatriots. He was soon after selected in the under 19 England team. His immense performance continued with his Yorkshire team as he made more than 900 runs in just 16 matches for the team which is a very great score in the first class cricket. He was a very good keeper as well and was given the gloves after his immense performance behind the stumps.
He was selected to the England senior team in 2011 against India. He scored a quickfire 48 runs against India and won the match as he had hit the runs in just 21 balls which are a strike rate of more than 200. He has since then played 38 test matches and 21 ODI matches along with 15 T20 matches as well. He has been instrumental in the England team that won the last T20 world cup. He scored his first test century in his 22nd match which was against South Africa. The match was played in 2016 and he made 10 runs.
His second-century was 140 against a very strong Sri Lanka team. He made 140 runs and propelled his team to a very deserved win in 2016 as well. His third century was in 2016 as well against Sri Lanka. This time he made 167 runs in Lords ground and helped his team draw the match. He has been awarded man of the match in three ODI matches. The first was in his debut match against India when he made 41 runs off just 21 balls.
His second man of the match performance was in 2015 when he made 83 runs as well as stumped two players and caught one more. His third man of the match performance came in 2016 against Pakistan when he made 61 runs on 83 runs that saw England team winning by 4 wickets. He has been out due to injury for two months time. He is currently not married and lives with his family in England. His batting style is known to be aggressive and he is thought to be a very big cricketer in the future.
