Joseph Baena is an American actor and bodybuilder, born on October 2, 1997, in Los Angeles, California. He is the son of Arnold Schwarzenegger, the Austrian-American actor, former Governor of California, and legendary seven-time Mr. Olympia bodybuilding champion. His mother, Mildred Patricia Baena, is of Guatemalan descent and previously worked as a housekeeper for the Schwarzenegger family.
Baena has one half-sibling through his mother, named Jackie Rozo. On his father's side, he is related to Patrick Schwarzenegger, Katherine Schwarzenegger, Christina Schwarzenegger, and Christopher Schwarzenegger. These four are his paternal half-siblings, not cousins as sometimes misreported. He attended Frontier High School in Riverside, California, and graduated in 2015.
After high school, Baena enrolled at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, where he majored in Business Administration. During his college years, he received recognition for his involvement in student philanthropy, reflecting a growing interest in community service and leadership.
Joseph Baena has pursued a career in both acting and bodybuilding, echoing the dual legacy of his father. In 2016, he gained public attention for starring in a short homage titled "Terminator 2 Remake with Joseph Baena: Bad to the Bone," where he recreated iconic scenes from one of Arnold Schwarzenegger's most famous films. Though his acting career is still in its early stages, Baena continues to approach it with enthusiasm.
In addition to acting, Baena is a passionate bodybuilder. He has been seen training with Arnold Schwarzenegger and has expressed the long-term goal of competing for the Mr. Olympia title, inspired by his father's storied success in the sport during the 1970s and 1980s.
