Julie’s parents are Suzanne and John Luetkemeyer Jr. who has been working into the real estate business. When Julie delivered their first son Oliver she was 37 years old, and the twins were born when she was 39 years.

She is currently married to Scott Phillips. They have three children including twins born on May 8, 2009 named John and Gustav. Her elder son named Oliver was born on April 10, 2007. This is her current marriage and she is not divorced, happily settled with her husband working in the real estate sector.

Scott Phillips, her husband is a patient, calm and loving guy whereas Julie has an anxious personality. This has been their secret to a successful marriage. They are happy in their heavenly marriage and there are no rumors or news about any extra marital affairs or scandals with any other. Scott proposed to Julie on Thanksgiving day in 2003. During those days she was starring in the sitcom ED.

However, there are reports that prior to her marriage she was dating actor David Spade in 2003.  They both were considered to be Hollywood/s hot blonde couple. They both called off their love affair after dating for a year in 2003. David is famously known as a ladies’ man and he himself has had many affairs including Krista Allen, Laran Flynn and Teri Hatcher are just a few to mention.

Ironically, her on-screen husband in the hit sitcom Modern Family played by Ty Burello is also into real estate. Earlier this year in 2014, Julie and Ty were caught kissing at the Golden Globe Fox party.  It displayed their real affection as they play an on-screen couple.  They were spotted at the Beverly Hill Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles. She was wearing a beautiful turquoise dress carrying a glittered silver clutch and wearing large silver earrings with chunky bracelets.

During an interview on the Disney’s movie Planes, Julie confessed that she does have a few celebrity crushes but the best she does is by avoiding talking in detail about them. Some of them are in her real life and close to her but she stays away from them.

Julie and her co-star Sophia Vergara have become best girlfriend buddies while shooting Modern Family. They both share a special bond and there are rumors that Julie even approved of Sophia’s new boyfriend.

When it comes to the red carpet or any award shows Julie ends up choosing her dress always at the last minute which makes her insane but as usual her beauty overshadows whatever she chooses to wear. There are several rumors floating that Julie underwent plastic surgery, botox and laser surgeries frequently on her face.
