Early Life and Musical Beginnings

Juliet Simms was born and raised in San Francisco, California. At the age of 11, her family moved to Tampa, Florida, due to her father's work. There, she began to explore her passion for music with the help of her older brother, Tommy Simms, who introduced her to playing guitar. By the age of 13, Simms was writing songs, laying the foundation for her future career as a lyricist and performer.

She went on to form the band Automatic Loveletter, where she served as the lead vocalist and collaborated closely with her brother. Over nearly a decade, the band released four EPs and one full-length album. Automatic Loveletter disbanded in 2011, prompting Simms to pursue a solo career.
