Katherine began dancing at age 4 and was classically trained. She performed for the Miss Mississippi Pageant for seven years and won scholarships to prestigious dance schools. She studied musical theatre and dance. She used her dance skills in the film Bring It On Again, and also appeared on the popular television series Gilmore Girls and One Tree Hill. She currently appears on VHI's Hit the Floor which is in its fourth season. In the show plays the role of a professional basketball dancer and credits her dancing skills in securing her the part. She occasionally serves alongside Maria Menounos as a co-host for "Afterbuzz TV". She also records and performs country music.
She currently lives in Los Angeles, California and enjoys pilates, guitar, dancing, reading, and hiking. She also dedicates some of her time to charity, and appeared in in Mississippi in 2013 to support burn victims.
