Kerry Katona is an English singer who rose to fame as a member of the British pop group Atomic Kitten. Atomic Kitten was founded by Andy McCluskey and Stuart Kershaw, two former members of Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, who served as Atomic Kitten’s principal songwriters during the group’s early years. Their single “Whole Again” was number one on the charts for four weeks in Britain and six weeks in Germany. Kerry Jayne Elizabeth Katona was born on September 6, 1980, in Warrington, Cheshire, England; she is of Hungarian descent. As a child, Kerry was raised by four different sets of foster parents and attended eight different schools; finally leaving school at the age of sixteen to become an exotic dancer. Kerry Katona joined the all-girl band Atomic Kitten in 1999; their debut single reached number ten on the UK Singles Chart. Kerry Katona has been married three times; her first marriage, in 2002, was to pop star Brian McFadden in 2002.

The couple had two children but was divorced in 2006 after a two year separation. In February of 2007, a fully pregnant Katona married taxi driver Mark Croft, the couple’s baby was born just six days after the wedding. They had another baby in 2008 but were divorced by 2011. Kerry had another child with her third husband, rugby player George Kay, named Dylan-Jorge.
