Born on July 8, 1981, in Oakland situated in California, Lance Darnell Gross spent most of his childhood in California. He started doing her schooling from the Bonanza High School. While studying there, he was even crowned the Prom King in his final year. He then went on do his graduation from the Howard University where he was selected on a full track and field scholarship. During her school days, Lance Gross was a great athlete. He was a very good footballer and was great at track and field. He got interested in acting at a very young age, and when he had the chance to pursue a career as Pro Track and Field athlete, he chose a career in acting over it. After graduating from college, he then went on to train in the Ivanna Chubbuck Studio and the Tasha Smith Acting Studio. Before this, he even went on to do his Bachelor of Arts in Theater. He is of mixed ethnicity as his father is of Ghanaian origin and his mother is of American African origin.
He got his big break when he was spotted in a BET party by Karl Kani with whom he went on so many modelling projects. He also worked in several music videos and worked with various famous names like Mariah Carey and Rihanna.
He got his big break in 2007 when he was cast for the lead role of Calvin Payne in the hit television series Tyler Perry’s House of Payne. He then went on to work in several television shows which include Steel Magnolias in 2012 where he played the role of Sammy Desoto, Dice City in 2013 as Derek and Grey’s Anatomy in 2015 as Ethan. He also portrayed the lead role in of Agent Marcus Finley in Crisis in 2014 and the role of Daniel Reynolds in Sleepy Hollow in 2015. He also guest-starred in the television shows like Choir Member where he portrayed the role of Eve in 2006, The Bernie Mac Show as Krumper in 2006, The Finder as Frank Hoywood in 2012 and Royal Pains as Dr London in 2012.
His movie career began when he was cast for the portrayal of the lead role of Michael Brown in the 2008 movie Meet the Browns. He was then cast as the lead for many movies which includes Our Family Wedding in 2010 where he played the role of Marcus Boyd, The Last Fall where he was cast as Kyle Bishop in 2012 and Temptations: Confessions of a Marriage Counsellor as Brice in 2013. He has also appeared in the movie Phenom as Lee Brooks, and he is also going to star in the movie Deuces as Jason Foster in the year 2017.
Lance married Rebecca Jefferson, a fashion stylist on May 23 in the year 2015. Lance and his wife Rebecca are proud parents of a daughter named Berkeley Brynn Gross who was born on November 20 in the year 2014. Before his marriage, Lance was engaged to Eva Marcille, but their engagement ended in the year 2010. According to his biography, his net worth is around 1.5 Million dollars.
