Lauren Green was born on June 30, 1958 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Lauren was born as the daughter of Bessie and Robert Grissam. Her home state of Minnesota isn’t known for being a red Republican state but it was surrounded by enough red states to have a conservative influence on Lauren’s family. Lauren had a big family with multiple siblings. She has two sisters, one being named Lois and the other is unknown and private. She also has two brothers, Kenneth and Leslie.
In 1984, Lauren Green won the Miss Minnesota pageant when she was 26 years old. Winning the top prize in her local area did not quench her thirst. She decided to enter again the following year but this time she wanted to win the national prize. Unfortunately for Lauren, she was not able to hoist the trophy as she was named third runner-up for the 1985 Miss America pageant.
Broadcasting news was not always the first love of Lauren, it was not the start of her formal education. Lauren had an interest that was related to the performing arts. Lauren received her Bachelor of Music degree in piano performance from her local University of Minnesota. After this point in her life, the spark for broadcasting was lit. She graduated from the Medill School of Journalism which was a program at Northwestern University. She was able to parlay both of her education subjects into lifelong professions. Apart from her career as a correspondent with the Fox News channel, she is also a famous pianist that performs in concerts.
