Luke Grimes is an American actor who is perhaps best known for his work in the Fifty Shades films. Fifty Shades is an American film series of three erotic romantic dramas distributed by Universal Studios. The series has grossed over one and a quarter billion dollars making it the fourth highest-grossing R rated film series of all-time. Luke Timothy was born on January 21, 1984, in Dayton, Ohio. Luke graduated from Dayton Christian High School and went on to study acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City. In addition to the Fifty Shades films, Luke Grimes’ film credit include All the Boys Love Mandy Lane (2006), Assassination of a High School Principal (2008), Squatters (2013), The Magnificent Seven (2016), and El Camino Christmas (2017). Luke Grimes has also worked on television. He played the role of James in True Blood for six episodes during the show's sixth season.
He is also well known for his portrayal of United States Navy SEAL Marc Lee, in American Sniper (2014). American Sniper was directed by Clint Eastwood and is based on the memoir, American Sniper: The Autobiography of the Most Lethal Sniper in U.S. Military History. The film tells the story of Chris Kyle who is known as the deadliest marksman in U.S Military History with two hundred fifty five confirmed kills during four tours of duty in Iraq.
