Mario Van born as Mario Cain Van Peebles on the 15th of January 1957 to Melvin Van Peebles and Maria Marx. He was born and brought up in Mexico City, Mexico. Mario’s father is well known to pioneer the area of writing and direction in the 1970’s and his mother was a German photographer and actress. Mario did his schooling in Connecticut from the Saint Thomas More School in the year 1974. He later went to the Columbia University, thereby successfully earning a graduation in economics.
