In 2012, the Weidman’s were among the many people who were affected by Hurricane Sandy. Their house was hit pretty badly when Hurricane Sandy hit the shores of Long Island where they resided. At the time of Hurricane Sandy, Marivi was out of the house. Chris remained back at home in order to manage the damage that Hurricane Sandy had done.

In an interview with MMAFighting.com, Chris told them that his wife Marivi and everybody was safe, although a lot of damage had been done to their home. In some places, the level of water was up to his chest. Fortunately, everyone was healthy and fine which was the most important thing.

Chris had documented the whole incident and its damaging effects on camera. After the Hurricane Sandy predicament, Marivi’s husband displayed great empathy to other families that were also affected. Chris and others joined up with Staten Strong, a non-profit organization and played a huge role in Long Island restoration of the community following the hurricane damage.

Marivi is a bubbly natured lady. She has one sister with whom she loves to hang out with. Her favorite beer is Heineken. The family helps each other in times of need and has been supporting each other always. Sometimes she has to accompany Chris during his training camp and fights. During these times her mother helps to babysit their children. She is a caring mother and optimistic by nature.

Whenever Chris is on away from home and the couple is far away from each other, Marivi makes sure to show her gesture of love by posting lovely messages for her husband.
