Matt attended the Xaverian Brothers High School in Westwood along with his brothers. He was a passionate football player from his high school. On 17th June 2000 Matthews married Sarah Egnaczyk. The couple was in relationship from college time. At Boston College Sarah was an athlete and she used to play with field Hockey Team.
