He voiced Jimmy Olsen in All-Star Superman, part of the DC Universe Animated Original Movies. As a filmmaker, Gubler created the behind-the-scenes documentary Matthew Gray Gubler’s Life Aquatic Intern Journal, chronicling the making of The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. This documentary was later included in the Criterion Collection release of the film.
