Melora Hardin is an American actress and singer who was born on June 29, 1967, in Houston, Texas. She is the daughter of an acting coach and retired actress Diane and Jerry Hardin. She is also the sister of the CEO of Flock Shawn Hardin. Both she and her brother were raised in San Francisco, California. She attended middle school at San Fernando Valley at Patrick Henry Junior High School and high school at Ulysses S. Grant High School. Hardin went on to graduate from Sarah Lawrence College and soon began pursuing a career in acting.

She first started as the young star of the television series "Thunder" which aired from 1977 to 1978. She went on to appear in over 70 films and television shows since. She even appeared in two episodes of "Little House on the Prairie" as Belinda Stevens. Hardin has continued her acting career from a young age all the way to the present. She starred in the 2000 series "Cover me: Based on the True Life of an FBI Family" as Trudy Monk. Hardin still makes appearances on television and has even sung the National Anthem at the season opening of the Anaheim Ducks hockey game on October 13, 2010.
