Mia Kirshner attended an Institute, Forest Hill Collegiate before graduating from Jarvis Collegiate. She read 20th century movie industry and Russian literature in the McGill University which is located Montreal.

Career

Mia Kirshner stated starting when she was 12 years of age and by the time she was 15 years, she had delved into professional acting. She acted in 1st movie titled Love and Human Remains in the year 1993.

In 2001, she acted in 5 episodes of the movie 24 as Mandy, an assassin. She has also featured in other movies and tv shows including acting as Julia in I Think I Do which was released in 2013, Cynthia in The Barrens which was released in 2012 and Amy in 388 Arietta Avenue which was released in 2011. Some other movies she featured in, includes Miss Conception, Party Monster as well as Now and Forever amongst others.

She also acted in a number of television series, including Bloodine, Lost Girl, Defiance, Graceland and the Cleaner. Other television series she acted includes 24, Johnny’s Girl, Tropical Heat, Dracula and War of the Worlds.

She was featured in the game of the movie, 24, where was used for the role of the voice of Mandy. She was ranked 43rd, by Maxim, in 2002, on their list of the 100 Hot Women. She was selected alongside Beverly Polcyn for the award of Best Kiss during the Movie Awards of MTV in 2002. She was also contracted by Rich Kosann’s collection of jewelry as Monica’s face.

In 2015, Mia Kirshner acted the role of Sarah Raburn in Bloodline. A movie which was produced by Sony Pictures and K2K productions has about 13 episodes. She was also a main actress in Defiance where she acted the role of Kenya Rosewater. She featured in 15 episodes of the movie which ran from 2013 to 2014.

Other role of note she has played includes playing the role of Elizabeth Short, a young actress in The Black Dahilia which was released in 2006. Despite the film receiving several negative reviews, she was singled out to have played her role nicely. Her voice was also used in the documentary, Bear 71, in 2011.

Philanthropy

In the month of October of the year 2008, she was 1 of the authors of the book titled I Live Here. The book featured children and women, who were refugees from Malawi, Burma, Juarez and Chechnya. The experiences of the women and children were recorded in this book. The book helped to bring the plight of these people to the Amnesty International, which responded by supporting the refugees with logistics.
