Michael Irby was born in 1972 in the Palm Springs, California and was brought up in Cabazon, California by his parents Cindy and Ernie Irby. Jason and Earnest III are his two brothers. He loved playing soccer and also played for Team USA in Europe. Post that, he was forced to give up soccer as he suffered an injury. After his soccer career finished, he went to his college. He went to AADA i.e. American Academy of Drama Arts in New York. Here, he tried his hand at theater after being pursued by his drama professor. Before going to American Academy of Drama Arts, Michael went to College of the Desert and Orange Coast College.
He has been an active actor since the year 1997. During his days at AADA, he also started working in ‘Corpus Christi’ by Terrence McNally’s as a part of the off-Broadway theater. He was also known for started writing his poetry. Later he shared his slam poetry at the Nuyorican Poets Café which became a key to getting his role in movies like Pinero. One of his all-time famous portrayals is where he played the role of Charles Grey in ‘The Unit’, thrilling mystery TV series with Dennis Haysbert and Robert Patrick as his costars in the show. He always loved being a part of the show. Max Martini, is one of his good buddies, also his costar in series ‘The Unit’. TV shows like ‘The Haunted’, ‘Almost Human’ and ‘Line of Fire’ also starred Michael Irby. He has also been a part of movies like The Last Castle.
Michael had many credits to his name from the silver screen to the smaller screen, he was a part of numerous projects which he totally owned by his acting skills. Some of his roles in big banner films like the Fast Five costarring Vin Diesel and Paul Walker in 2011 or the role of Detective Garza in the Law Abiding Citizen in 2009 are his excellent works. He also starred in Flightplan in character of Obaid in 2005
