Career

Before starting her career in movies and TV shows Michelle had a career in the theater where she played roles in various Shakespearean plays and others. Her first appearance in cinema was in 1989 when she got a small role as a student Aaron Russo's Rude Awakening. The role was that of a cameo but it was still a start for Hurd. Before the end of a century, she appeared in 7 different movies of which the most memorable one was Sydney Pollack's Random Hearts, starring Harrison Ford. Michelle did not have a big role but it was still her biggest thing done in the cinema at the time. Later she had roles in various movies including Double Parked, Play It by Ear and Too Late to Say Goodbye. In 2012, she again was in a more prominent role in Robert Pulcini's Girl Most Likely, a comedy where Michelle had a role of Libby. After this she appeared in a few television films with various roles and most recently was a part of a cast of Peer Pedersen's We Don't Belong Here, a drama that is about to release. She is also credit with Search Engine, though there is not much information regarding this movie, it is known that it is in post-production stage.

Michelle Hurd's television career began in 1991 when she got a role as Dana Kramer in NBC's soap opera Another World. Since then she appeared in 40 different series including Law & Order, Bones, Gossip Girl, Pretty Little Liars and most recently Netflix's original series titled Jessica Jones, a story which follows a superhero detective in the city of New York. The show shares the same universe as another Netflix success Daredevil. Hurd played D. A. Katrina Reyes in one of the episodes.
