Mike Clattenburg

Mike Clattenburg, born in Cole Harbour Canada, was initially a drummer in a rock band before turning to the television and filmmaking. While hosting and producing That Damn Cable Show, from 1990 to 1993, he developed an interest in Television and Filmmaking and hence began his new journey which saw him as the director of Trailer Park Boys: The Movie, Trailer Park Boys: Countdown to Liquor Day and Trailer Park Boys 3: Don`t Legalize It.

Apart from this series, Clattenburg also directed the films Afghan Luke and Moving Day. That Damn Cable Show proved a launchpad to his career and made his powerful entry into the film industry. His name became well-known among other people associated with the industry and soon he got his recognition as distinct filmmaker with an art of his own and his prospect as the best filmmaker got nurtured right on time. He then proved his genius not only as director but as writer and producer as well. His biography is full of action and making of a genius.

Clattenburg`s association with Black Jesus as co-creator, executive producer, co-writer and director adds much to his fame. Since Adult Swim series, of which Black Jesus is a part, is already a very popular TV series. He clarified about the popularity of the Trailer Park Boys series in his interview with John Doyle of the Globe and Mail. He was replying to a question doubting Trailer Park Boys popularity. He said:

"Comedy is subjective, but no one can argue that Trailer Park Boys wasn't a hit. I guess Jim Shaw never saw thousands of people lined up to meet the boys when they made a personal appearance somewhere."

He has his notion about comedy, and his work had been accordingly. No matter what his colleagues may think of comedy, he has done it a different way altogether as is evident from the posters of his works and had achieved the success too.

After Trailer Park Boys series, he wanted to do something different apart from this comedy series and as such started work on feature films like Afghan Luke and Moving Day. It was a new challenge for him that he accepted confidently and emerged victorious in the end. His success at films made him the master artist of both the television and films as well.

Clattenburg`s remarkable art of filmmaking brought him fame and wealth in bulk. His net worth summed up over his career so far and is placed at $ 12 Million. That`s is quite impressive and proves his worth as the artist.
