Mike Tomlin was born in Virginia and he is the last born in the family of two sons. He has a brother called Eddie and he is three and half years older to him. The father known as Ed Tomlin was a football player at Hampton Institute in the year 1960. He was drafted by Baltimore Colts. Afterwards, he played Montreal Alouttes in Canadian Football League. The father died in the year 2012 because of heart attack and he was 63 years old.  Tomlin did not know more about the birth father and he was raised by the mother and the stepfather.  His mother Julia got married to Leslie Copeland, who was a supervisor of US Postal Service during the year 1980.

Mike Tomlin’s wife is Kiya Winston and they met when they were students studying at The College of Williams and Mary.  Tomlin was majoring in the biology. He graduated in the year 1995 and they had three children, Sons Michael Dean who was born in the year 2000 and Mason was born in the year 2002.  The daughter Harlynn Quinn was born in the year 2006. He resides with the family in the Squirrel Hill neighborhood in Pittsburgh and he goes to church at Christian and Missionary Alliance Church.

Mike Tomlin was initiated to Eta Omega Chapter in the Old Dominion University and in the Charter member for Xi Theta Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity for The college of William and Mary.  He is also known because of the resemblance he has with omar epps who is an actor.  Such resemblance was referred to during the episode of TV series called House in November of 2009 in its 8th episode for season six. 

Mike Tomlin’s salary of 5.75 million per year makes him to be the 6th highest paid coach in NFL and he is the 8th when it comes to the professional sports. His total net worth is believed to be around 16 million dollars and he was able to make it by being the youngest coach in the history of American Sports.
