Nasin Pedrad, born on November 18th 1981 is an Iranian and American comedian and actress, she was popular for her involvement in Saturday Night Live (SNL), which was aired for a period of two seasons. She was born in Tehran, Iran to Parviz Pedrad and Amani Arasteh. She lived there till 1984, before the moved to the United States. She's the senior sister of Nina Pedrad, who's a comedy writer. After moving to the US they resided in Irvine, California. She attended University High School and UCLA school of Theatre in 2003, she was also member of UCLA Spring Sing Company.

Career
Her early career started as a performer in The Groundings, she had a show where she performed herself, it was titled Me Myself & Iran in Los Angeles at the Uprights Citizens Brigade Theatre.
The show was a success and was nominated for the HBO comedy Festival in Las Vegas. She was also awarded as Best Comedic Performance of the Year Award for her work in After School Specials by LA weekly.
In 2011 she played part in Fox animated series titled Allen Gregory. She also played a small role in the film No Strings Attached. She has also featured in films like Despicable Me 2, The Dictator.
She then ventured into television for an episode in Gilmore Girls, she also made cameo appearance in The Winner, she then later featured in ER, where she had an recurring role. As of 2009 she made a guest feature in It's Always Sunny.
She became prominent on TV when she joined the cast of Saturday Night Life in 2009, she was the first female Middle Eastern member to play part in the show. She then had a prominent role in the show as the show ran for a period of two seasons.
She later left the show in 2014 to work on the film mulaney, the show was later cancelled in 2015.
In 2015 she made a guest appearance in the movie New Girl, she currently plays the role of Gigi in the comedy horror film series Scream Queens.
