Natalya, whose real name is Natalie Katherine Neidhart-Wilson, is a Canadian-American professional wrestler. She was born on May 27, 1982, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Natalya is a member of the legendary Hart wrestling family. Her father, Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart, was a professional wrestler, and her mother, Ellie Hart, is the daughter of wrestling patriarch Stu Hart. This makes Natalya a third-generation wrestler, continuing a storied family legacy.
She has two sisters: Jennifer, a professional chef, and Kristen, the youngest of the three siblings. Natalya attended Vincent Massey Junior High School and later graduated from Bishop Carroll High School in 2000.
During her youth, Natalya trained in both martial arts and professional wrestling. She was also involved in gymnastics and dance, which helped build the athletic foundation for her wrestling career. At eighteen, she worked briefly as a saleswoman for Kirby vacuum cleaners—an experience notably different from her later ventures into the wrestling world.
Her professional wrestling journey began in the early 2000s. In 2001, she was involved with MatRats, a youth-based wrestling promotion led by Eric Bischoff. By 2003, she was competing in matches for Stampede Wrestling, a promotion operated by the Hart family.
