Stephanie Nicole Garcia-Colace, professionally known as Nikki Bella, was born on November 21, 1983, in San Diego, California, to Jon Garcia and Kathy Colace. She was raised primarily in Scottsdale, Arizona, alongside her twin sister Brianna Monique Garcia-Colace—better known as Brie Bella—and their brother JJ Garcia. Nikki completed her education at Chaparral High School in 2002, where she also played soccer for the Scottsdale Club during her younger years.
Following high school, she attended Grossmont College and continued playing soccer, often alongside her sister Brie. Nikki is of Italian-Mexican descent—her mother is of Italian heritage, while her father is of Mexican descent. After spending a year at college, she relocated to Los Angeles, where she worked at the Mondrian Hotel as a waitress while seeking opportunities in entertainment.
Nikki Bella's career in entertainment began in 2002 when she appeared on the Fox reality show Meet My Folks. Along with her twin sister Brie, she later participated in the International Body Doubles Twins Search in 2006. That same year, the twins also competed in the WWE Diva Search but were not selected. Prior to that, they were featured in a promotional campaign for Budweiser as the "World Cup Twins," posing with the World Cup Trophy.
In 2007, Nikki and Brie were signed to a developmental contract with WWE and joined Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW), the company's developmental territory. Nikki made her in-ring debut alongside Brie in a match against Nattie Neidhart (Natalya) and Krissy Vaine, which the twins won. The duo quickly became popular for their "Twin Magic" gimmick, using their identical appearance to confuse opponents.
Nikki Bella is a two-time WWE Divas Champion. She won her first title in 2012 by defeating Beth Phoenix. Her second reign began in 2014, and she held the title for a record-setting 301 days—making her the longest-reigning Divas Champion in WWE history. Her contribution to the women's division was recognized in 2015, when she won the Slammy Award for Diva of the Year and topped Pro Wrestling Illustrated's Female 50 ranking as the number one female wrestler.
In late 2015, Nikki suffered a serious neck injury that required surgery. Although temporarily sidelined, she made a brief appearance at WrestleMania 32 to support her sister Brie, who was participating in a match. Despite the setback, Nikki remained active in the wrestling scene and continued to be involved in various WWE activities.
