Nipsey Hussle is an American Grammy Award nominated rapper and actor from Los Angeles, California, who sometimes stylizes his name as Nipsey Hu$$le. Nipsey Hussle was born Ermias Asghedom on August 15, 1985, in Los Angeles, California. Nipsey grew up in the Crenshaw neighborhood of South Los Angeles and was a member of the Rollin 60’s Neighborhood Crips, a Black American street gang with over sixteen hundred members who identify themselves by wearing Seattle Mariners or Chicago White Sox logos. Nipsey Hussle has released several mix tapes. His Bullets Ain’t Got No Name Series has three installments: The Marathon, The Marathon Continues, and Crenshaw. It has been reported that music mogul Jay-Z bought one hundred copies of Crenshaw for one hundred dollars each.
Nipsey’s album, Victory Lap, was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Hip-Hop Album. Nipsey’s film credits include Three Thug Mice (2008), Malice N Wonderland (2009), and a small role in Bone Thugs-n-Harmony’s semi autobiographical film, I Tried. Nipsey Hussle has a daughter named Emani and, in 2016, had a child with actress Lauren Landon. The couple named the child, a boy, Kross Asghedom. Laruen Landon also has another child from a previous relationship with Grammy Award winning rapper Lil Wayne whom she named Kameron Carter.
