Niykee Heaton is an American singer who was discovered after she uploaded her acoustic covers of contemporary songs to YouTube. Niykee completed her first headlining concert tour, The Bedroom Tour, in 2015. Niykee Heaton was born Nicolet Aleta Heaton on December 4, 1994, in Chicago, Illinois. Niykee has always wanted to be a musician and wrote her first song at the age of five. She taught herself how to play the guitar when she was nine and often spent time singing along to a Diana Ross greatest hits CD. Niykee released her debut extended play, Bad Intentions, in September of 2014. It topped the Billboard + Twitter Trending 140 chart and reached the top ten in the United States iTunes Store on the day of its release.

Critics sometimes say that Niykee’s social media presence overshadows her music but she is unabashed about her beauty and sensual body and rhetorically asks if they think she should put on a turtleneck just to make a point. Niykee says her music combines many different genres; including soul, bluegrass, folk, and hip-hop. She describes her songs as two worlds colliding. Niykee’s second tour, The Centerfold Tour, consisted of  forty-three shows in North America from October through December in 2016.
