Early Life and Background

Odette Annable (née Yustman) was born on May 10, 1985, in Los Angeles, California. Her mother is of Cuban descent, and her father is Colombian. Bilingual from an early age, she was cast as a Spanish-speaking student in the 1990 film Kindergarten Cop when she was just five years old.

Career Beginnings and Breakthrough

Annable began her professional acting career in the early 2000s, earning roles in television shows such as South Beach and the drama series October Road. Her breakthrough came in 2007 when she starred in several notable projects, including the Lifetime movie Reckless Behavior: Caught on Tape, the comedy film Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, and the box office hit Cloverfield, where she played a leading role.

Film, Television, and Voice Work

In 2008, Annable lent her voice to the popular video game Fallout 3. The following year, she appeared in the supernatural horror film The Unborn. Her television career continued to grow as she joined the ensemble cast of Brothers & Sisters during its fifth season in 2010. She also appeared in the first season of the comedy series Breaking In in 2011.

From 2011 until its conclusion in May 2012, Annable was a regular cast member on the medical drama House. She portrayed Dr. Jessica Adams, one of Dr. House’s final team members.
