Paola Andino was born on March 22, 1998, in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. She holds American nationality. At the age of three, she moved with her family—her parents and older brother—to Dallas, Texas.
From a young age, Paola was involved in the performing arts. She danced competitively and was a member of the Footlights Dance Studio in Lewisville, Texas. At the age of 10, she began taking acting classes under Antonia DeNardo through DeNardo Talent Ventures, also based in Lewisville. This formal training helped lay the foundation for her future acting career.
Paola Andino made an early television appearance with a guest role on the popular medical drama Grey’s Anatomy, portraying a young girl with a trachea disorder. She later appeared in the Hallmark Hall of Fame television movie Beyond the Blackboard, starring alongside Emily VanCamp. In this film, she played the role of Maria, a young homeless girl—a performance that drew attention to her acting talent.
In 2013, she secured her breakout role as Emma Alonso in the Nickelodeon series Every Witch Way, where she played the female lead. Her performance in the series earned her a nomination for Best Young Actress at the 29th Imagen Awards, solidifying her presence in young adult television.
