Quinn Cook

Quinn Cook is an American professional basketball player who has played for several NBA teams, including the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors. He is best known for his contributions as a reliable role player during his time with the Warriors, where he became an NBA champion.

Background and Early Life

Quinn Alexander Cook was born on March 23, 1993, in Washington, D.C. He grew up with his sister, Kelsey, in a supportive family environment. He attended DeMatha Catholic High School, where he excelled on the school’s basketball team. At the encouragement of his mother, Cook transferred to Oak Hill Academy to further his academic and athletic development. Despite suffering an injury that sidelined him for part of his senior season, Cook was named a McDonald's All-American and was selected to the MaxPreps Second Team All-American list.

College Career and NBA Draft

Cook went on to play college basketball at Duke University, where he was a key contributor and helped lead the team to the 2015 NCAA Championship. After completing his college career, he declared for the 2015 NBA Draft. Despite a successful college tenure, he was not selected during the draft.

Golden State Warriors and NBA Success

Although undrafted, Cook began his professional career by participating in the NBA Summer Leagues with the Oklahoma City Thunder and Cleveland Cavaliers. He later signed with the Cavaliers but spent most of his early professional years in the NBA G League. In 2017, Cook's NBA aspirations gained momentum when he signed with the Golden State Warriors. He got a significant opportunity to showcase his skills when star point guard Stephen Curry was out with an injury. Cook seized the moment, earning a more regular role and contributing off the bench. He played an important supporting role as the Warriors secured the 2018 NBA Championship.
