Rick Gonzalez

Rick Gonzalez was born in 1979, June 30 in Brooklyn, New York. The actor has both Dominican and Puerto Rico blood in his veins. Rick's parents were immigrants from South America and they met in New York where the father of the actor proposed to his wife. The couple decided to live in Bushwick, one of the areas in Brooklyn, as it was the best they could do in terms of their finances and ensuring the best possible environment for their son to grow up in. Rick went to elementary school and to high school while growing up in Brooklyn. Since an early age, the boy was very active in terms of participating in various plays and any other acting-related event his school produced. He also spent a lot of time doing impressions of his family members or close friends. The teachers noticed this in a boy and talked to him about it saying that he has a lot of talent and should consider a career in movies and TV shows. The actor agreed to suggestions and tried applying for High School of Performing Arts, a school which specializes in performing arts and is located in the Lincoln square. Rick Gonzalez got accepted and immediately started to work hard towards his goal. He finished the school in 1997 and this was the time when he started to pursue a job in the world of actors.

Career

The first time he got a job was in 1998 when he was cast in television movie Thicker Than Blood. The role was a small one but it still was a great first step for Gonzalez. During his career, Rick appeared in over 30 different movies reprising various roles. He was in Todd Philip's comedy Old School and Jim Sonzero's horror film Pulse in 2006 where he played Stone. More recently he starred in Duane Adler's South Korean indie film Make Your Move as Rene. The film is inspired by Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet".

Besides a career in films, the actor also had some roles in television series. The first time he appeared on television was in 1997 in F/X Series. In the year 2000, he had a role as Alonso in Law and Order: Special Victims Unit. Gonzalez was also in such television series like CSI: Miami, Castle, Bones and most recently USA Networks highly successful drama series Mr. Robot where he plays Isaac Vera.

Rick Gonzalez is not married and does not have a wife. It looks like he is not in any relationship at the moment. His biography is relatively unimpressive as there is not much the actor is known for. According to various sources, his net worth is estimated at approximately 1 million dollars.

Awards and nominations

The actor had some nominations as part of an ensemble but his only recognition as a solo performer was in 2008 when he got nominated for Imagen Foundation Award as Best Actor in a film Illegal Tender.

Rick Gonzalez has done a lot of work but it seems like he did not have that one breathtaking performance yet. Hopefully, he will get his chance soon as the actor is really talented.
